  My spouse and I visited Kia Chula Vista on May 20, 2026, with the intent to purchase two new vehicles. This was our third visit to the dealership within a two-week period, and we were serious buyers. I was interested in a 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige, and my spouse was considering the gray Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid on the showroom floor while also trading in his 2018 Volkswagen Passat. Before addressing our concerns, I would like to recognize Alan. Throughout our visits, Alan was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive to our questions. His customer service was one of the primary reasons we continued pursuing a purchase with Kia. Our experience changed when we met with the Finance Manager on the evening of May 20. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name. During the finance discussion, we were presented with pricing that was significantly higher than expected, including a proposal approaching $60,000 for the Sportage with the sticker price of 50,000. When I questioned the pricing and provided examples of competing offers from other Kia dealerships, there was little discussion regarding the numbers. He explained all online pricing is a lie and they fake numbers to get people in the door then they get hit with the numbers he is now presenting. Several statements made during the discussion stood out: “If you want to shop to save 50 bucks, you can, but all car lots buy from the same place so all the prices are the same.” “If you want to waste your time and go to Orange County to shop, you can.” “We’re closed right now, so if you aren’t serious about a deal, you should come back tomorrow.” Additionally, we were asked to complete credit-related paperwork, but our credit scores were not disclosed. A significant portion of the discussion involved us asking for this information, yet we were only told that it could not be shared due to conflict of interest.   My friend and I both went into Kia and left the same day with our Kia K5s. I was offered an interest rate that was even lower than what any bank could provide. Carlos was amazing throughout the entire process—patient, knowledgeable, and never made us feel pressured. The team worked hard to make sure I got everything I needed, and they made the experience smooth and stress-free. Great team and excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

  I regret buying my K4 so much not because the vehicle is bad but how I’ve been treated by service team. Mind you I bought 2 K4’s the same day one for me and one for my sister. Every time I’ve been going to the service department their team has CONSISTENTLY failed to be transparent or even provide the most basic service. I brought my k4 in of Saturday because my TPMS light turned on and the service advisor clearly looked disappointed to see me because I wasn’t his appointment. I told the advisor my TPMS light turned on and I want the tire to be inspected since I will be driving long distance for my job and I wanted to make sure I was safe and not stranded. The advisor told me that I should take my tires to Discount or another retailer and I told him No I want it done at the dealership since my tires are NitroFilled and I have a package with them. He told me it’s perfectly fine to mix the air and the Nitrofill and I told him I don’t want to mix I want the Nitrofill. They took my K4 in and said the tire will be “inspected” and was told that it just needed air. 24 hours later while driving my TPMS light turned on and I’m stuck on the freeway on a HOLIDAY weekend. Clearly the tire wasn’t inspected because there was a LEAK and a PUNCTURE dead in the center of the tire. So thanks CV Kia what could’ve been a repair is now going to leave me with a tire replacement… the service department has CONSISTENTLY failed to provide the most basic of services and honestly it’s making me regret buying my K4 and I am now considering on looking at other vehicles from different car brands because of the CONSISTENT bad service the Service Team has been providing. Which is sad because the Sales Team is incredible kind and honest but it’s their service team that is failing the customers and the hard work of the service team.

  I had a great experience at Kia! Manny was the one who helped me find my car and he was amazing throughout the whole process. He was patient, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with my decision. Julio, the manager, was also very helpful and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. When it came time to sign the paperwork, Khalid explained everything clearly and made the process quick and easy. Overall the team was professional, friendly, and made buying a car a really positive experience. I definitely recommend coming here and asking for Manny if you’re looking for a new car!
