  I had a fantastic but challenging experience purchasing my used vehicle at Elgin Volkswagen. I walked in with a strict budget, and my specific demands made negotiating a fair price difficult. The sales team, especially Al Abuhamda, was incredibly patient and didn't resort to high-pressure tactics. After several days of back-and-forth, we were able to reach an agreement. While I was stretched slightly beyond my initial target, the dealership offered exceptional value on my trade-in and found a financing rate that made the monthly payment work. If you are negotiating a tough deal, I highly recommend visiting Elgin Volkswagen for their transparency and willingness to make a deal happen.

  Incompetent service department. Brought our car in for a tire with a slow leak and check engine light since we have a warranty. Told them which tire it was and that it goes flat within two days. Dealer had the car for 6 hours and told us nothing was wrong with the tire. Two days later, tire was flat again. Called their service department and explained to him like stated before the tire has gone flat yet again and his response was “well what do you want me to do about it”. Took the car to discount tire and they found a nail near the sidewall. Pretty easy to spot, but apparently not for this dealer.

  I purchased a VW in March and was promised the key for the roof racks would be provided. Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times. Three weeks ago, I was told the dealership had the key and would mail it to me. Three weeks later, I still haven’t received it, and my calls are no longer being returned. This is a simple, non-electronic key. It has now been four months, and the issue remains unresolved. I’m disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through. Keeping customers informed and honoring commitments should be a basic part of the buying experience. This is why people HATE car dealerships. You’re fantastic until the sale is made, then you’re no where to be seen.

  big shoutout to Jada from the BDC department!! she was super helpful, patient, and always quick to answer any questions I had. you can tell she genuinely cares about making sure customers feel comfortable and taken care of. I really appreciated all of her help throughout the process!

  Bought my 3rd vehicle from this location in Elgin,IL they work with you and make sure you walk out with the car you want for the price you want. Adnan and Thomas go the extra mile.
