3 months agoI purchased my vehicle about a month ago and the process was so super easy and 0 stress at all, the staff was great communicating with me and did their absolute best to get me into a vehicle that I just love!! I told them how much I had down what I wanted to pay monthly and they met every single request. Tops off to all the gentleman who helped me from sales to financing to their amazing management staff!! Recommending everyone here. Thanks guys!! Thanks Marcus!! š

3 weeks agoOn June 1, 2026, I brought my 2012 Kia Optima to Group 1 Kia of South Austin for an A/C repair and oil change. On June 9, the car was returned entirely non-functional, with dashboard electronic systems completely broken, structural panel screws left uninstalled on the floor mat, and multiple fluid caps left open under the hood. This gross negligence directly caused a severe engine oil leak on a factory-recalled replacement engine that has less than 20,000 miles on it. After demanding a resolution, Service Director Cody Kemmerling contacted me via email on June 29, 2026, explicitly promising to coordinate a flatbed tow truck to transport my vehicle to safety due to the damage. I provided my address on June 30, 2026. The dealership completely abandoned the agreement, failed to send the tow truck, and has ghosted all communication since. The vehicle remains completely undriveable and actively damaged on my property. I'm so saddened by this. I'm a senior citizen with bad health and will have problems going to my doctor's appointments. I wish I could submit NO star!!!

2 weeks agoIām very disappointed with my experience at Kia South Austin, my car was stolen, recovered, then brought there for repairs. My car was clean before it was stolen both inside and out. I donāt want to sound like a nit picky person, but it really bugs me that not only did I have to pay for someone elseās crime. I also then had to clean my car out myself because most of the mess/items were not mine. I also didnāt expect Kia to fully detail and clean my car, but the fact that the outside wasnāt even wiped down. Another gripe I have is that pieces of my dashboard and steering column/ignition that the thieves broke off, was just thrown in my backseat. Not to mention a random car seat cover and various trash and scratch offs that were not mine. I know the workers donāt know which is mine or not. However, I just wish they would have put everything in a trash bag and placed it in the trunk or something or even called to ask. Iām upset that it is dirtier than before it was taken. It has now become my responsibility to clean everything out of MY pocket after all the money Iāve already had to spend for something that was not my fault. I had left a voice message for the manager about my complaints. Itās been a few days and have not heard back. I even bought my car from this dealership and am disappointed that this is how loyal customers are treated.

6 months agoThis was hands down one of the worst service experiences Iāve ever had. I originally planned to go to Kia of Round Rock, but they were booked, so I scheduled with Kia of South Austin. When I made the appointment, I was clearly told I would receive a free diagnostic because it was my first visit. That ended up not being true. After dropping off my car, they had it for one week, I was first quoted $4,300 for repairs. Then I got another call saying they could do it for $950, followed by a manager calling to offer $700. That alone felt extremely shady. I declined and took the diagnostic to another mechanic, who laughed and told me the issue could be fixed with a $5 part. When I told Kia I wasnāt sure when I could pick up my car due to an incoming snow/ice storm, I was suddenly told the diagnostic would be $190, and that the employee who promised it for free was āwrong.ā At that point I was frustrated but paid just so I could get my car back. I was able to get a ride after work so I could get my car and the sales people inside were so disrespectful and condescending. I was told they would not give me my keys and that my key was not labeled and they wouldnāt be able to find it. Then the story changed to we donāt have access to get your key. And I was told ā I will not put my job on the line just to go get your keyā I then asked for a manager or anyone else who could help me, and no one would help. I was told no manager was even there. I had no choice but to leave without my car, without my keys, and with our Texas ice storm coming. Since then I did end up taking my car to that other mechanic and he has fully fixed my car with a $5 part! Iām so thankful I stuck to my gut and did not get any work done by Kia of South Austin! Between the dishonest pricing, misleading information, and being refused access to my own vehicle, this experience was unacceptable. I am beyond disappointed and will never return or recommend Kia of South Austin.
