  Just want to thank my salesman Jerry Hebrink and also to Aaron in the finance department. They gave me a great price right out the gate with no games or gimmicks! Jerry worked with me every step of the way and kept me updated on everything. Aaron was so easy to work with getting my financing approved and answered my questions quickly. They were able to arrange delivery for me and the delivery drivers were so kind and careful with my car. Loving my new CR-V and will refer everyone I know to Ames!

  Cameron Evans was amazing to work with! He was very knowledgeable about the Ridgeline I ended up buying. The buying process was very smooth and I walked away feeling like I got a great deal. Paperwork was easy thanks to Eric Fritz. I couldn't be happier with my new truck!

  I brought my 2022 Honda Odyssey on June 22 to Honda of Ames for regular maintenance. When I arrived, I met with a Service Advisor and clearly requested an oil change and Service A137, which includes: A: Oil change 1: Tire rotation 3: Transmission fluid replacement 7: Brake fluid replacement Later that day, at approximately 3:25 p.m., I received a text message indicating that additional services were recommended following inspection. When I opened the link, it unexpectedly showed: “All services declined (1 of 1 services declined).” Assuming this could be clarified in person, I went back to the service center. Upon arrival, I was informed that my vehicle was still being serviced and that I needed to wait 10–15 minutes. After about 10 minutes, the Service Advisor presented me with a bill totaling $760.64. Knowing that the transmission service alone costs over $500, I paid the bill at the time without much thinking as I needed to pick up my kids. However, after reviewing the invoice carefully at home, I identified several concerning issues: 1. Unauthorized Add-On Services The invoice includes three additional services that I did not request and that are not part of Service A137: Premium engine oil condition ($50) Engine crankcase cleaning service ($50) Ethanol fuel system corrosion prevention kit ($75) 2. Incomplete Requested Services I do not see evidence that the following requested services were performed: Tire rotation (Code 1) Brake fluid replacement (Code 7) 3. Lack of Authorization Most importantly, I was never given the opportunity to approve or decline the additional recommended services. By the time I received the text message, it appears that decisions had already been made and services had already been initiated without my consent. I am very concerned about how these additional services were authorized and why the requested services were not fully completed. I contacted them on the same day and followed up again the next day.   Honda of Ames gave me a great experience from start to finish. The staff was professional, friendly and made the process less stressful. They helped me find the exact vehicle that I wanted.   Everyone was great to work with from sales to finance. I bought a car from Honda of Ames in 2020 and I had a bad experience with Aaron in Finance and did not go back to them in 2024 for my next car. I came back and am glad I did. Glad I didn’t have to deal with Aaron again! Keep up the great customer care, Gerry.
