“I will never take my vehicle to this dealership again for any reason. During April, 2024, I obtained two quotes for removal of the HECU module on my 2019 Sorento EX, 3.3L, V6, and replacing it with a part that I had purchased and would supply to the Service Dept. The first estimate was from a local car repair business for $355. The second estimate was a phone quote from the Kia of Meridian Service Manager for $356. Since the two estimates were equal, I decided to let Kia of Meridian perform the service. I felt like a Kia dealership would provide better-quality service and would stand by their quote. I was wrong. I dropped off my vehicle early morning. The Service Manager called mid-morning to say that they had removed all of the brake lines and the HECU module from my vehicle. He then said that he had given me a WRONG ESTIMATE, that he had given me a quote for the smaller, 4-cylinder engine instead of my V-6. He said the NEW estimate was now $824, instead of the $356 he originally quoted me. Since the brake lines and the HECU module on my vehicle had already been removed, and no telling if the lines or the module had been further damaged during removal, I had no other choice at the time but to let them continue. I thought that after we talked it over, they would honor their original quote. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the Service Manager still refused to honor their original quote. I also e-mailed the dealership with these details to talk about it, and they never responded.”
