Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Telluride vehicles. The front power seat motor may overheat due to a stuck power seat slide knob or an improper recall 24V407 repair, which can result in a fire while parked or driving.

Risk: A fire increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install an electronic fuse assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 13, 2026. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC374. This recall replaces NHTSA recall number 24V407. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 17, 2026.

“Update to include Service experience: Knudtsen no longer guarantees a loaner car when you buy a new vehicle as was offer previously with Foothills Mazda. Called to get our 600mi car in for warranty work already and was advised loaners are hard to get. This was a question I asked via email when Knudtsen Mazda Service reached out asking if I had any questions after our purchase and I asked about Loan car policy and was advised they would reach back out to me. I never heard back from them and had to email again in which I never heard from them again. I recently purchased a vehicle from Foothills Mazda and had a very positive experience with the sales team. I had been a little skeptical since the dealership changed ownership, but the experience on the sales side was professional, straightforward, and reassuring. Marcus was polite, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the process. If there was something he didn’t immediately know, he took the time to research it and make sure we got accurate information instead of guessing. He was also very prompt with communication and worked around our schedule throughout the day, which made the process much smoother. Dave S was also very polite and helpful while handling the paperwork and made that part of the process simple and stress-free. I have not had the opportunity to use the service department yet, but I’m hopeful the personality and customer-focused experience of the dealership has remained intact after the ownership change. Based on my purchase experience so far, things are moving in a positive direction.”
