“I had high hopes for this dealership, and the initial communication was responsive as we coordinated a long-distance purchase from Michigan. Unfortunately, the experience fell short on vehicle condition and post-sale support. We drove 6.5 hours with my son for my daughter (the buyer) and me traveling on a broken leg, relying on the dealership’s assurance that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and was ready for the road. Within 30 minutes of leaving the lot, we noticed a pull to the right. After an overnight stay to avoid Chicago traffic, the issue continued intermittently and worsened on the return trip. Upon closer inspection at home, all four rotors showed clear signs of overheating and wear. We promptly contacted the dealership, and they initially agreed to address the problem. However, they ultimately did not follow through. Two local mechanics later confirmed heat damage to the calipers (three of four wheels) and long-term overheating on all four rotors—issues that should have been identified during inspection. Photos are attached for reference. This is particularly concerning because brake condition is explicitly listed on the Wisconsin Buyer’s Guide as an inspected item, and it represents a serious safety issue. The dealership’s position remains that the vehicle was properly inspected and road-ready. We expected better after the significant time, travel, and trust placed in the process. Very disappointing.
