I purchased a used truck from this dealership out of state after being repeatedly told the vehicle was in excellent condition and “a great looking truck.” Mechanically the truck appears fine, but after getting it home and seeing it in different lighting and rain, I discovered extensive paint marring, swirl marks, and scratching that were not apparent during the purchase process. I understand this may not have been intentional and some of it could have existed from the previous owner or poor washing techniques, but I was disappointed in how the dealership handled the concern afterward. I reached out respectfully, provided photos, and was initially told they would look into it. After weeks of limited follow-up, the only real suggestion was to “go through insurance,” which was frustrating given the nature of the issue. I’m ultimately taking care of the corrections myself, but for a dealership that strongly emphasized the appearance and condition of the vehicle, I expected better communication and at least some level of goodwill or customer support after the sale. Just sharing my honest experience so future buyers know to inspect paint condition very carefully, especially on black vehicles and especially in different lighting conditions. *****Additionally following their response**** I appreciate the dealership responding. My concern was never that a black truck would show minor imperfections. My concern was the extent of the paint defects and the lack of any meaningful effort to help resolve the issue after purchase. While I respect the dealership’s position, I remain disappointed that no goodwill assistance or compromise was offered.
