Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Campaign 25V552000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster and 2019-2020 Dodge Journey vehicles. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the vehicle's rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility.

Risk: A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning September 30, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated July 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 59C.

“This is a Sales Review, not a vehicle or service review: Service was great. Location: Odd and out of the way, actually in Tumwater. The facility: was beautiful. The kids enjoyed their brunch. Process: we ran into a couple of glitches during the purchasing process but were quickly resolved. I worked with Sergio who was really professional and knowledgable. Ian was great as well. He set out to earn our business (actually said so himself) and went above and beyond for us to make sure I got what I wanted. Time in and out: once the vehicle got there was under 2 hours with trade in process as well. I did have my own financing (check in hand) so that would also take some time off. But very quick on a Saturday afternoon. Overall: I give it a 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Thanks to the Toyota of Olympia team for making us happy customers.”
