  This was the third time I have leased a Volvo from Tom Calkins. It was another exceptional experience and I can’t say enough about Tom. He is always welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right Volvo. No pressure, just honest guidance, patience, and outstanding customer service. Tom is very patient with me, answers all of my questions, and explains everything so I know how to work all the new features on my car. If you’re considering a Volvo, I highly recommend asking for Tom at Volvo West County.

  About the worst possible after sale service you can imagine. What you'd expect from a shady used car sales lot. I flew in from TX to purchase a used Volvo. Didn't haggle on the price, paid what was advertised, financed w/the dealer. When I came to pick up the car I was in/out of the dealer in 30 minutes. 4 hours later on my drive back to TX the entire instrument cluster malfunctions. Called sales guy, he was apologetic and said to get it checked out when I got home to TX. The cluster hasn't come back on since then and it has now been 3 weeks. No speed display, no fuel gauge, can't see any warnings that come up on the dash. Local Volvo dealer diagnosed and said it needs a new cluster screen, to the tune of $3,200. Again, this is something that failed 4 hours after I left the dealer. The manager had zero concerns and briefly said you bought a used car. Zero attempt to offer any way to resolve or contribute toward the repair. I agree it's a used car but I don't think anyone expects to buy something that needs a $3200 repair 4 hours after you pick it up. I would have been happy to work with them on splitting the cost, or at least sell me the part at their cost, but they absolutely do not care and could not be bothered. I've owned 8 Volvos over the last 17 years and I've never had a dealership take such a careless approach to supporting a customer. Very disappointing experience, would not recommend as they will absolutely NOT take care of their customers.

  Tom with West County Volvo provided excellent customer service from start to finish! He not only helped me find the perfect car, but was also incredibly attentive to my needs and made the entire process seamless. The salesperson can truly make or break the car-buying experience, and Tom’s expertise and commitment to his customers absolutely made the difference—he definitely closed the deal. Highly recommend working with him!

  My wife and I have been buying cars for about 45 years and this was the best we’ve ever been treated by a salesperson. Tom Calkins was patient, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. In spite of a nonstop flow of customers, he found time to make sure we had something to test drive or suggest a car we might be interested in purchasing. He went above and beyond to learn what we wanted and he worked with us to make that happen. The car we bought was attractively priced and we got more than we expected for our trade. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
