Exterior Lighting: Headlights

Campaign 26V421000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The headlight wiring may cause the parking lights and daytime running lights to flicker on and off, or fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Parking lights and daytime running lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the headlight assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed July, 30, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 62D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 9, 2026.

Electrical System: Instrument Cluster / Panel

Campaign 26V225000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, Ram 4500 Cab Chassis, and Ram 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. A software error may cause the instrument panel display to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards numbers 102, "Transmission Shift Position Sequence," 105, "Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems," 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment," 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems for Light Vehicles," 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems," 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System," and/or 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as gear selection and warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the instrument panel software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 5, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 35D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 16, 2026.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the trailer tow module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning March 17, 2026. I cannot speak for the rest of the departments but specifically for sales, I would not recommend the older gentleman named, Brent. We were trying to negotiate a deal on a Colorado, and he had a terrible attitude and was offended when I asked about an offer that was advertised on their website. He was instantly irritated and started smacking his pointer finger onto his computer screen saying that the price was a mistake and some type of mathematical error. I simply asked why it was still advertised on the website if they were clearly aware of the error, and he immediately got more upset and was literally yelling at my son and me with confusing salesman gibberish. The story that he was screaming to us made no sense whatsoever, and it was obvious that he was offended and very upset that we found those numbers on their website. We then found another truck on their website right next to that one that had the same advertised sale. After giving us more bad attitude and agreeing to a mediocre price, he pulled a quick one and raised the APR by over 2% unknowingly to my son, which is unfortunate because this was my 21yr old son's first experience purchasing a vehicle. After calling another dealership, the competitor not only matched Heartland's price but also beat it by $2,500 for another Trail Boss with twice the features and a lower interest rate to boot!!! They also gave us a friendly and professional attitude and didn't try to pull any dirty tricks on us. By the way, when I asked Brent about raising the interest rate, he told us that we "probably" would have caught it when we dealt with the finance office, so it was no big deal. So in closing, my recommendation is NOT avoiding Heartland Chevrolet altogether, but specifically in sales, avoid Brent. * I feel obliged to state that the sales manager was VERY friendly, professional, and helpful.
