Air Bags: Air Bag / Restraint Control Module: Software

Campaign 26V328000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. A software error in the occupant restraint controller module may cause the delayed deployment of the side air bags during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."

Risk: Delayed air bag deployment during a crash increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will update the occupant restraint controller module software, free of charge. Some owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 01D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 28, 2026.

Electrical System: Propulsion System: Traction Battery

Campaign 25V741000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

Risk: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Vehicles that were previously recalled for the same issue under NHTSA Recalls 24V720 and 23V787 will need to have the new remedy performed.

Remedy: Dealers will update the hybrid control processer software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 14, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 73C. “Jones is definitely a top-tier dealership. Like any major car dealership be prepared to pay well over the advertised price that’s just the way things are in Maryland. Jones offers some of the best warranties on used cars as well as the Jones for a lifetime program which I would say are very well worth it. My salesman, Wade, was very helpful and straightforward, which I appreciated. He worked with me and got me out the door in a nice jeep. I Will say the only negative is the vehicle wasn’t detailed to my level of expectation. It wouldn’t have taken much to shine up the faded black plastic fenders, trim and clean the windows. They did send me off with a full tank of gas though.”
